general rules ;
001. first and foremost, there is no discrimination on this site whatsoever. racism, sexism, facism - no ism's at all. you will be banned, permanently. this is never tolerated, fullstop.[/blockquote]
002. cursing is allowed in-character, but please don't use it as every other word. the odd curse word in the c-box isn't strictly banned, but persistant use is definate no-no.
003. no powerplaying, godmodding etc. no one likes it and it makes you look like a n00b. simple.
004. you can have as many characters as you want on your account, but keep them all active. if i see people making lots of characters and never playing them, i will force people to get rid of excess characters. only create as many as you can play regularly.
005. respect staff, and other roleplayers. any problems, contact an admin. fighting anywhere on the site, out of character, isn't permitted. ban ban ban. (:
posting rules ;
006. all posts must be atleast 200 (yes, that's two-hundred) words in length. short little forty word posts are my pet hate. if you make a short post, you'll be asked to lengthen it. if you dont, it get's deleted. constant failure to meet the wordcount will result in you being asked to leave the site. you were given hands to type with - please don't join this site if you're willing to let them go to waste on crappy posts.
007. don't bug someone to post with you. if they want to be in a thread with you, they will be. don't bug them to reply either. when they've got adequate muse, they'll get around to it. i don't wanna see the c-box flooded with 'plz reply 2 me ye?!".
008. while we're on about that, no chatspeak anywhere on the site. please, please, please. it looks stupid. it makes you look stupid. like, seriously, how much time are you saving by cutting one or two letters off each word?
009. grammar. punctuation. spellcheck. use the lot.
creation rules ;
010. your first character must be accepted by a staff before you can roleplay on the site. if you are found to be roleplaying before approval, you wont be approved and you risk a warning. once your first character is approved, you don't need to wait for subsequent character approval.[/blockquote]
011. don't nag a staff to look at and approve your horse's bio. they'll get round to it. i know if anyone nag's me, i'll purposely not look at it for an extra day or so. just a head's up ;]
012. keep your character's realistic. unless they're a vespuccian horse, and then please stick to the specification. realism includes heights, colors and markings. if i see a 15hh shetland i will kill someone. horses are 14.2hh or taller. smaller than that and it's a pony. you can easily find out a breed's size on the internet. don't make me tear my hair outtt.
013. follow the form provided when creating a character. that's what it's there for. duhh.
claiming rules ;
014. stallions must be atleast three years old to claim either a land or a mare. no ifs, buts or exceptions.[/blockquote]
015. when claiming an unclaimed land, post a claiming post and wait until a member of staff has approved the claim. then please post your herd stats as soon as possible.
016. you must post in your land once a week, unless you have posted that you will be away. if you fail to be active in your land you will lose it.
017. one land per person. only one of your stallions may be the lead of any land. this gives other people a chance to own a land.
018. land can be challenged for. a post must be made in the land your stallion is challenging for, stating your intentions. if the lead does not reply in three days, you win by forfeit. if they accept your challenge, it will be fought out in a fight post, but only on a board where fighting is permitted.
fighting rules ;
019. both stallions and mares can fight, either each other or another of the same gender. be advised a stallion will not always win against a mare.[/blockquote]
020. a fight is made of of six moves; four hits and two dodges. two moves can be made per turn, so long as the first move is a dodge. it can then be followed by your next attack. this means a fight should last three posts.
021. a staff will judge the fight on the following criteria: no godmodding/ powerplaying; posts meeting word count; post quality; age and stats; spelling and grammar. each contender will be given a score out of ten. the highest score wins.
022. only one on one fights. no five on one or anything like that. it's just not fair.
breeding&birthing rules ;
023. graphic breeding is allowed providing both parties agree. please put an [m] in the title of the thread though, so poor little unsuspecting people don't stumble across it accidentally. mares must be atleast two the have a foal.[/blockquote]
024. where force-breeding is allowed, stallions can powerplay a little.. else it's not really 'force' is it? just don't take it over the top.
025. if you are breeding to get a foal, you don't have to roleplay the breeding, so long as both parties are aware of this happening. same with the birthing. it doesn't have to be roleplayed out.
026. in order to have a foal, you must post using the correct form in the correct board. a staff will decide the foals stats.
027. only a staff can decide the stats. you can request a color, gender etc but you are not guaranteed to get it.
028. once you have bred, you have from seven days and up fourteen days to give birth to the foal. before the seven, it will be premature and die. after the fourteen it will be stillborn.
029. only post that stats of the parents on the day you want the foal born. use the form and everything about your foal will be determined by a staff, using dice. there are no twins on this site. regardless of seasons or time of birth, the first roll determines if the foal lives. 1 - 5 means it lives, a 6 means it dies. sorry but the real world isnt full of healthy foals, and without human intervention, some foals will die. next roll determines the gender. odds are colts, evens are fillies. all your stats will be posted, including coat color, eye color, mane&tail color, markings and full grown height.
030. mares may only have three foals with this system. after that, a coin will be flipped to determine if the foal is instantly stillborn, regardless of the mares ages. atfer her fifth foal, all foals are automatically stillborn. no baby-factories here!
if i've missed anything out, let me know and feel free to ask. (:
