Asphyxiation.

"x. Emerging from the forest of rusted steel, not turning back until you have it in your hands. A warning to those not invited: the name of rebellion - it cannot be denied. With no interest in how others live, even their own life. Someone independant. You wouldn't even be aware of your own death. That sort of future; wouldn't you want to see it? The colorless world and the blood that flowed in it's rightful vividness. The sky that you so desired, these eyes will see for themselves. Fly high right now. To where? The sky is painted over with ash, hiding the poison of a weak, small freedom that was suddenly cut off. A shapeless cage. Have you forgotten how to fly? A world waiting to be ruined, burning this body together. Fly high right now. To where? The sky is painted over with ash, hiding the poison of a weak, small freedom that was suddenly cut off. Fly high, right now or someday. A resounding voice will free a love until the very last day, truly living, a wish that is granted in your hands.
"x. Ah, pearl bay. Golden, almost white sands stretched around the bay, soft azure waters lapping at the shore. When the weather was bad, the water turned a sort of navy, just as it was today. Being two-tone had it's advantages and disadvantages. My white bodice remained cool even under the hottest sunrays on the hottest days of summer, where-as my legs became warm due to them being black. However, in winter as it was now, my body was a little cold, despite my thick winter coat, but my pistons remained somewhat warm. Or they would have, had I not decided to take a lope through the waters. The sea was murky, thick-looking, but I waded through it with relative ease. Remaining somewhat shallow, my pistons pounded the sodden sand beneath the waves, sending flurries of splashes up, soaking my legs and stomach through. I'd most likely pay for it, but it felt good to stretch my legs, and by pretending not to be affected by the freezing cold water, it didn't really seem that cold. I was ignoring the fact each droplet that touched my pelt was like an icy dagger.
"x. However, a brisk mid-morning run was not what I had come here for. Nor was catching pneumonia, though both were swiftly being achieved. No, I was here scouting for herd members. Numbers in the Black Lake were lower than ever, mainly because I had been lax of late. Winter always made me lazy. I had hardly been interested in claiming any more mares, most unlike me. Usually I enjoyed nothing more than dragging a vix'n back to the terra and having my way with her until she was no longer fit to stand under her own weakened weight. Yes, the breaking of their spirit afterwards was always fun, but taking them by force.. it's the best thing I can imagine. But yes, I'd come here to pluck a few herdless mares from their lonely state and welcome them into my horrendous harem.
"x. Slowing to a trot and then a stop, I shook out my long banner, ebony tangles flying in the light winter breeze like beasts in a brawl. Dome was then raised, darkest sepia pools searching the bay for signs of another equid. Standing still made the water seem even colder, as if it was freezing on my pelt, turning into ice. Slowly, my pistons began to go numb, and I stepped out of the water onto the shore. Soft snow crnched beneath my daggers, only a light dusting here, but on other parts of the island it was deeper. It always rained in Winter here, like clockwork. I shook my body, trying to get rid of any formed ice and warm myself up by the same notion. Occulars then returned to looking, irises as dark as black holes searching for any signs of life, preferably female.

Stupid. Hmpf. Damn sand.
A splash of frigid water sent a shiver down her spine as the minx pawed at the wet water and sand mixture. A frustrated frown curled her coal hued lips down at the corners as she used a fore-hoof to push more of the pale grains of sand into the muck she'd made. Stretching out her neck as far as she could she let her mug skim over the rippling water before sucking a large portion of it into her mouth. The sides of her lips bulged as she refused to drink the salty water and quickly pulled her head back, curling her neck and holding her mug directly over the mound of wet sand she spit the water onto the already rather slimy mixture. She lowered her narrow skull once more to peer at the mess she'd made and with a triumphant grin she let out a quiet squeal, crow-hopping sideways before raising a slate flint directly over the mound. With a splat her hoof slammed into the rather gross looking stuff, some of it splattering up her pitch marked legs. A series of giggles fell from her mug as she gave herself a shake, dislodging many grains of sand from her strangely colored coat.
One hind flint swiveled in the sand as she pivoted around to continue down the shoreline. With each step she drug her flints in an over exaggerated way across the pale sand, purposely trying to make it look worse. Everything seemed to be perfect, too wonderful, to pretty...too...everything. And what was she doing but evening it out, less good and less bad. She was trying to just make it fair. That's the way it worked in her mind anyways. She was imperfect and thus everything else should be imperfect. It was only fair after all.
Mocha lenses drifted over her surroundings. Some beach-like place it would seem she was in. She hadn't paid much attention to anything in the last few weeks so she wasn't sure how long she'd been here. She didn't really keep much track of time or days or any such thing. She paused momentarily, narrow crown raising a bit as she heaved a heavy exhale, breath fogging in the crisp winter air. Winter, oh how she despised it. The cold, the snow. Yes, especially the snow simply thinking of it made her grumble quietly to herself before setting off again.
And then it wasn't three lengthy strides before she came across some of the very wretched stuff she'd been grumbling about only seconds earlier. Frowning she sidestepped, peering down the shore line and realizing that the snow, though only a few inches deep expanded quite a ways. A hiss like sound escaped her mug as she backed up several feet, muscles bunching as she bolted forewards at break-neck speeds. Her fore-flints left the ground first, curling under her chest and then her hinds followed, curling under her barrel as her front stilts uncoiled for her to touch land once more. Flakes of the awful ivory stuff came flying up over her as she landed in it and went about racing through the little area full of snow before coming back to barely frosted sands once more.
A loud snort passed through her airways as she raised her dome in a triumphant way, shaking her boa and causing pitch and auburn threads to flail about in a messy manner before landing in a tangled heap once more. She turned her skull then, peering over her shoulder that was marked with a few medium sized white spots, and staring back at the 'enemy'. A sly grin curled up the corners of her lips but such quickly disappeared as her hazel lenses drifted down to her ankles. Jaws gaped wide and her large lenses widened so wide the 'whites' of them boldly showed. A breath caught midway through her crescents as she stared in horror at the clumps of snow the clung to her ebon fetlocks.
A squeal escaped her lips as she leaped sideways, flailing psychoticly until no snow remained and only then did she halt once more. When she finally stopped her leaping and flailing her ribcage heaved with her heavy breaths. Heaving a mildly relieved sigh she continued on once more, carefully sidestepping around any and every bit of snow she came across.
[/blockquote][/blockquote] Another loose cannon, gone bi-polar. Slipped down, couldn't get much lower! ---------------------------------------------------------------- so it was longer and awesomer. Until my stupidass computer decided that it needed to go back a page and lose my post. bleh.
