the vespuccian horse;
[/size]other names; vespuccian light draft.[/blockquote]
height; 15hh - 16.3hh.
colors; all vespuccian horses are grey, no exceptions. however, they all have a slight tint, usually blue, green or yellow, though pink and purple are occasionally seen. any other colors such as red and orange are rare. the tint is not exceptionally strong but it is visible. the legs and muzzle are always black, as are the hooves. these horses have no white markings. second and third generation* have different coat colors and patterns, always paint. but where as, if it was a black paint, it would be black and white, it is still grey. however, the parts where the horse would be black are perhaps blue tinted, and the white parts are green tinted. small markings such as socks and snips in a more bold color of the tint are seen. manes are tails are always dark gray or black.
build; usually of muscular but not stocky build, vespuccians are built much like thoroughbreds - strong but lithe.
breed advantages; vespuccians are surprisingly fast and light footed. famed for their strength, they have good fortune in fights. they can live for a surprising amount of time, up to thirty five years.
breed disadvantages; if a vespuccian is bred to a horse of another breed, the foal will have none of the color characteristics of the vespuccian as the genes are genentically recessive compared to all others. vespuccians also tend to go either blind or deaf around the age of eight though not necessarily in both eyes/ears. mares find it hard to concieve also - a foal does not always result from a breeding.
* - 2nd or 3rd generation vespuccians must be bred from two original vespuccian horses created by players, unless otherwise approved by an admin.
admin permission is needed to have a character who is a vespuccian horse - i dont want hundreds of them running around.
